Donna Wrap-up & Looking Ahead

WOW. I mean, WOW. Our first Zeal meet-up at the Donna Marathon Weekend was everything we hoped it would be. There were hugs, tons of zebra stripes, and so much support for everyone and our Zeal effort. We are truly humbled by the power of this amazing community. How could we possibly sum it up? Let’s look at what our Zeal team members who were there had to say.

Coach Kellie: This was my first Donna experience and it exceeded all the hype and expectations I had & imagined. The power of coming together in-person was on display as we talked, laughed and watched the hours fly by. So many goals were set, milestones met and I’m just honored to have been there to witness it all!

Running has given me many things but the greatest gift has been the people that it’s brought into my life.

Coach Amy:

This year’s Donna Marathon reminded us all why we love our sport so much. While we’re competitive with ourself and others, It’s not the time on the clock that matters; running gives us friendships and memories that are life changing.

Thank you all for a weekend I will think of fondly for many years to come! Can’t wait to do it again!

Things just happen in the right way, at the right time. At least when you let them…

Terry:

The gathering of our fellow zebras at the Donna this year was truly humbling. I am personally amazed at the fellowship of this community and its vitality. It’s really an honor to be supporting this group and I look forward to future events and gatherings of Zeal in the future.
Thank you all for the gracious support you’ve shown!

Coach Betsy:

Running is more than running - it's about creating strong relationships and fostering a sense of community. The DONNA race weekend was a beautiful example of this. Thank you for being part of such an inspiring event.

Watching our community come together in such a supportive way made my heart sing. For those of you who weren’t there in person, I felt your presence too. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of something so special. To feel this shared excitement for the future where we will connect runners and build community in-person and virtually. Thank you again for making such efforts to travel to this wonderful event.

The “zeal” and kindness that you poured into each other and the team will remain in my heart forever.
— Coach Betsy
